Privacy policy

Effective September 15, 2026. Applies to this website and to Fifty-Five to Seventy-Five: The California Retirement Rulebook and the job chapters sold from it. The seller is AmbiSync LLC, 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816. Questions: contact@rulesbyage.com.

This page says what this site collects about you, what is done with it, and what is not. It is written to be read, not skimmed, and it is short because the site does very little.

What is collected

If you request the free chapter or a job chapter: your email address, and, on the job form, the job you pick from the list and anything you type in the note box. That is all. There is no account, no password, and no other form.

If you buy the book: the checkout is run by Payhip and Stripe, not by this site. They collect your name, email address, and payment card details to process the purchase and deliver the file. This site never sees or stores your card number. What comes back to the seller from the checkout is your name, your email address, what you bought, and the amount, which is what a receipt needs.

Automatically: the hosting service records the ordinary technical details of a visit (the page requested, the time, the general type of browser and device, and an IP address) in server logs, as every website host does. If an advertising measurement pixel is on the page, the ad platform also records that a visit or a sign-up happened; see the section on third parties below.

What it is used for

  • Sending you the chapter you asked for, and later a note when the full book or your job's chapter is ready.
  • Delivering the book you bought, sending the updated edition when new figures are published, and handling a refund if you ask for one.
  • Answering an email you send.
  • Counting, in total, how many people signed up from each page, so the pages can be improved.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works with one click, and the seller's mailing address, as federal law requires. An unsubscribe request is honored within ten business days, usually immediately. Emails that are part of a purchase (the receipt, the download, the update) are sent whether or not you are subscribed to the list, because you bought the thing they deliver.

What is not done

  • Your email address and anything else you give this site are not sold, rented, or traded to anyone, ever.
  • Nothing about you is used to give you individual financial, tax, legal, or insurance advice, because the seller does not give any. The book and the chapters are the same for every reader.
  • No one at the seller looks up your benefits, your accounts, or your situation. The job form asks what kind of work you did so a chapter can be written for that kind of work, not so anyone can review you.
  • Nothing you give this site is used to train any artificial intelligence system.

Who else handles it

A small business runs on other companies' services. These are the ones that touch your information, and each has its own privacy policy:

  • Kit stores the email list and sends the emails.
  • Payhip and Stripe run the checkout, process the card, and deliver the file.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps the server logs described above.
  • An advertising platform's measurement pixel (for example Meta's) may be on this page when ads are running. It tells the platform that a visit or sign-up happened so the seller can see which ad worked. It can also let the platform connect the visit to your profile on that platform if you have one. You can limit this through the platform's own ad settings and through your browser's tracking settings.

None of them is given more than they need to do that job, and none is permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

Do Not Track and browser signals

This site does not change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, because it does not track you across other sites in the first place. The only cross-site tracking that can occur is the advertising pixel described above, which you can block in your browser.

Seeing, changing, or deleting what is held

Email contact@rulesbyage.com from the address you signed up with and ask. You will get a copy of what is held about you, or a correction, or deletion, within 30 days. Deletion removes you from the email list and from the seller's own records; a purchase record stays with the checkout service for as long as tax and refund rules require it to. Unsubscribing from the list can be done at any time from the link in any email, without asking.

California residents

This policy is posted to comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. The seller does not sell personal information and does not meet the size thresholds of the California Consumer Privacy Act; the rights described in the section above are offered to every reader regardless.

Children

This site is for adults planning for retirement. It does not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If that has happened, email and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date at the top, and if the change affects how your information is used, the email list is told before it takes effect.
